Angel island visit

Spring semester done – finals complete. Camping celebration at Angel Island. Angel Island is a former immigration station (active 1910-1940’s). It is considered the Ellis Island of the West. Photos include the images of walls of craved poetry by the Chinese immigrants. The writing is about their time on the island. Angel Island was also a fort and a deployment station for soldiers returning and deploying during WWII. Abandoned forts are also on the island.

Photo also of a park ranger giving a skype lesson to school children on the East Coast about the island. It was fun exploring the state park with the amazing 360 views of the Bay area.
