Photos art in SF

I visited the Museum of Craft and Design in SF. Small museum but innovative work. Cardboard exhibit – interesting sculptures all made from cardboard. Love it. “By assigning importance to a material most often thought of as disposable and recyclable, these artists alter perceptions of what is ‘serious or legitimate’ as an art medium.” Second gallery, explores the idea of marketing and corporate branding, influence of graphic design on consumer behavior. Does the Apple logo on a carton of milk make it more expensive and important? Does the rebranding make you need and want it more?

Other photos, walking by my favorite outdoor sculpture in SF, Cupid’s Arrow near the Embarcadero, Bay Bridge in the background and a walk up a very steep hill, Pride flags waving in the wind.
